Methodology
Opportunity Engine — recoverable dollars per month
Each office's recoverable / month is a sum of three priced gaps, computed entirely client-side from the live data:
| Gap | Formula | Rationale |
|---|---|---|
| PPV shortfall | max(0, $150 − hyg $/visit) × projected monthly visits | Visits are projected to month-end by scaling MTD visits by (elapsed + remaining) / elapsed working days. |
| Reappt leakage | (90% − reappt) points × $11K ÷ director office count | Uses the briefing's own stated heuristic (~$11K/month per reappt point per director, divided across that director's offices). Only counts when a real reappt value (30–100%) is reported. |
| Perio-diagnosis | (15% − perio/prophy) × projected hygiene production × 0.5 | Half the diagnosis gap is assumed upcodeable to SRP / perio-maintenance — the conservative half of misclassified prophys. |
The Focus Priority list and the Ops Grid both sort on this figure by default, so the rank-1 office is the genuinely biggest financial fix, not a points artifact.
Cohort Percentile Lens
Each office is positioned against its real peer distribution, not a single benchmark tick. Peers are segmented by GP vs specialty so a perio-specialty book is never graded on a general-practice prophy mix. The rail shows a 20-bucket histogram with the office's own bucket highlighted, plus its exact percentile and the reporting sample size.
The Director Ranking tab adds box-plot spreads — interquartile box, median dot, min/max whiskers, and the benchmark line — so a miss can be read as one outlier office versus a systemic, book-wide pattern.
Trend Trajectories & Momentum
Five closed-month Gen4 snapshots (Jan–May) plus the current MTD are stitched into a per-office time series. The office rail plots perio/prophy, reappt, hygiene $/visit, and hygiene % of production against a dashed benchmark line. A momentum badge (3-month slope of perio/prophy) flags improving vs declining, and Focus Priority surfaces "green-but-sliding" offices the point-threshold model misses. Monthly files cover Gen4 (98 offices); SGA East / Modis offices show "no trend".
Linked AI Coaching
The Opus action brief is fuzzy-matched back to real office and director records: every named intervention resolves to a row, every named director to their book. A pulsing Coach chip appears on matched rows; clicking it opens the office rail scrolled to its coaching note. The brief also offers a per-director briefing slice. Guardrail: only the metric-derived narrative already present in the source brief is rendered — no new attributed claims are synthesized, and every "why" is tied to a dollar or benchmark gap, never to a meeting or a named individual beyond the director / OM role labels already in the data.
Benchmarks
Perio/prophy ≥ 15% · Perio ≥ 5% · Perio-maint ≥ 10% · Hygiene % of production ≥ 17% · Hygiene $/visit ≥ $150 · Reappt ≥ 90% · Fluoride ≥ 50% · % to budget ≥ 100%. Green = at/above benchmark; yellow = within 90–100%; red = below 90%.
Public-view data note: per-hygienist provider names are pseudonymized (Hygienist A, B, …) for this public deployment; all numeric performance is preserved. Ops Director names are leadership-role labels that already appear in source reporting. No patient data, no wages.
